The Universim’s Twitch Integration allows Viewers to create (spawn) special Nugget Avatars within a Streamer’s game.
This system is highly configurable, allowing Streamers to enable, disable, rename, and modify the Action Point cost of any command. Streamers can also manage the items that appear in the voting panel, as well as how frequently the voting panel appears.
This page contains a list of instructions and available commands for both Streamers and Viewers to use as a guide. Please submit your feedback to us via Twitter or Discord, as we will continue to add and improve features based on your requests and suggestions.
Nugget Avatars
These are special Nuggets that viewers have spawned within a Streamer’s game. They live their lives as they usually would, but their actions can be influenced by the viewer who originally spawned them. Avatar Nuggets can easily be distinguished from the crowd as they will have special icons above their heads, alongside their owner’s name.
Action Points
Action Points are passively generated over time. These can be used by Viewers to command Avatar Nuggets to start various in-game events. Streamers can configure the system to reward extra Action Points to those who donate bits.
Available Commands
Streamers have the ability to modify commands via the settings menu.
#Commands
This will list all available commands that Viewers can use during a Livestream. Certain commands require Viewers to have an Avatar Nugget in the game and will cost varying amounts of Action Points. There’s a cooldown period between each use of a command.
Certain actions were designed to challenge Streamers and others to help them.
#CreateNugget
This command will allow a Viewer to spawn an Avatar Nugget within the game world. There will be a waitlist for all Viewers who wish to spawn a Nugget, which is tied to the in-game birth system. If there is an Avatar Nugget on the waitlist, they will be born when a Nugget gives birth. As you can see, this is a first-come-first-served system. Additionally, Viewers can define the gender of their Nugget Avatar by adding a gender modifier after the #CreateNugget command: e.g. #CreateNugget Female.
#CheckBalance
Typing #CheckBalance into the chat will allow a Viewer to check how many Action Points they have.
#StartFamily
Avatar Nuggets will be able to form their own families. Typing #StartFamily in the chat will instruct your Avatar Nugget to find a partner, form a family with them, and mate.
#StartFire
An Avatar Nugget will attempt to start a fire somewhere in the Streamer’s city. Streamers can deal with these misbehaving Nuggets by sending police to arrest them (they can be released later). Alternatively, this could be the perfect opportunity for Streamers to test those fancy new grinder systems on Temples.
#Explode
If Viewers no longer have the desire to be a part of the mess unfolding within the Streamer’s city, they can quit the game “peacefully”. Peacefully, in this case, meaning with a large explosion. Viewers can type a building name after #Explode to select which type of building their Nugget will attempt to destroy. For example, #Explode Archive will cause the Viewer’s Nugget to detonate themselves beside the Streamer’s Archive. Streamers have a limited time to react!
#Steal
Your Nugget will try to steal from the Streamer’s resource stockpile. Avatar Nuggets will receive additional Action Points after bold actions like this.
#Invent
An Avatar Nugget will instantly complete the currently-active research item for the Streamer's civilization, effectively speeding up the development of their city. This is one way that Viewers can assist Streamers, once they get tired of wreaking havoc.
Public Events Voting
Instead of the system automatically deciding which disaster to unleash on an unsuspecting city, Viewers will be able to vote. Periodically, a voting panel will appear that everyone in chat can participate in. This panel contains 3 random items, and the most-voted option will be activated. These can be useful for Streamers (bonus Creator Points) or… unhelpful, like summoning an evil UFO.
Election Participation and Voting
Every now and then, a Streamer’s civilization will need to elect a new leader. The top 3 Nuggets with the most Action Points will be nominated as candidates. Only Viewers will be able to vote for who becomes the next great leader.
